1. What is your favorite book for kids… something you would like to use in your future classroom? Why do you like it? Over the summer I read Esperanza Rising by Pam Munoz Ryan and I really loved it. I thought this book was written beautifully and the history is so rich and enlightening in many different ways. I am from California in the area where the book takes place and I found it so interesting that I had never heard of the immigrants side of the story and I think that is just a shame. I loved learning of their experiences and really fell in love with the characters. I love children's books, well really any books, I created a book blog if your ever interested :)

2. Name your three favorite T.V. shows, even if you don’t have time to watch them! What can you (or what are you willing to) tell me about your T.V. viewing habits? I’ll tell you mine if you’ll tell me yours! I am a pathetic TV show watcher. Its kind of embarrassing. I don't know how I find the time but I watch so many TV shows RELIGIOUSLY and still find time to go to school, and be a mother of a toddler. I am sure that if I stopped watching so many TV shows I would actually get sleep at night! I'll get to the point ha ha my favorite shows are 1. Grey's Anatomy 2. One Tree Hill 3. The Secret Life of the American Teenager 4. Vampire Diaries 5. Desperate Housewives 6. Lost 7. Heroes 8. Merlin 9. True Blood 10. The Big Bang Theory 11. How I Met Your Mother.... and I'll just stop there because this is getting embarrassing!!

3. Do you collect anything? Tell about your collections: I collect books, books, and books. I love going to the Orem Library on the first of every month and seeing what new books that have for sale! My husband told me that I need to stop buying so many books :) (but its just so fun).

4. Do you keep any kind of a journal (or blog?) besides this one? Tell me about it, and what you like to write about: I keep a blog, I love blogging! I mostly blog about my little boy and the things he is constantly doing to amaze me. For instance, he is 18 months old and just started saying 2 word phrases! He is so smart :)

6. Have you ever taken art lessons or attended art classes outside of school? Tell about your artistic talent and/or interests: I have not taken any art classes outside of school. My next door neighbor a couple of years ago taught me how to knit teddy bears and I have become addicted to knitting them, but that's about all that I do on the artistic front.

7. Have you ever taken music lessons or belonged to musical groups outside of school? Tell about your musical talent and/or interests: Sorry... I don't have much to write about this except that my only experience with music is what I listen to on the radio in my car.

8. Have you ever taken dance lessons or belonged to dance groups? Tell about your dance talent and/or interests: I was a cheerleader in high school and loved dancing!! I have not done much dancing in the 5 years I've been out of high school but I love the memories I made there and the feelings that dancing gave me.

9. Have you ever taken drama classes or performed in a theater production? Tell about your theater talents and/or interests: I have not taken any drama or been apart of a theater production.

10. What have I not asked you, that you would like me to know about you? Well first, I'm not just being a suck up, I love your class and I'm so excited that your my teacher again this year!!

Second... I'm 6 weeks pregnant with my second baby!!! I'm due 2 weeks after I graduate from the El Ed program! I don't know if that's the type of thing you were looking for but it's always fun to share good news so that's what you get :)
